Work continues as we prepare BLOODHOUND SSC to run at Newquay later on this year. While it’s tempting to become frustrated about how long this is taking, a recent comment by an independent project management company put it in perspective for me.

Piece by piece, BLOODHOUND SSC is coming together. While the process is slow, it’s exciting to see more bits of the Car working for the first time, ready to start testing the Car later on this year.

It’s been an interesting start to the New Year, with various bits of the Car being tested as we slowly get BLOODHOUND SSC ready to run. We’ve still got a long way to go, but it’s terrific to see systems being assembled for final installation in the most advanced straight-line racing car ever.

BIG news from BLOODHOUND: Finally, the news we’ve all been waiting for. We’ve just confirmed a new source of funding, so we can now crack on with getting BLOODHOUND SSC ready to run.

Engineering progress on the Project remains slow, as we focus our efforts on getting the funding together to run the Car next year. The good news is that we’re generating more and more interest, as global companies look at our fully-assembled Car and ask the question we want to hear: ‘How do I get involved?’.

One question that always comes up when I talk about driving the world’s fastest car – and also the hardest one to answer – is ‘what’s it really like?’

‘Time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted’. This famous military quote may well be over 2000 years old, but it’s still true today.
