Winning designer hands helmet to Andy Green

The winning designer of the BLOODHOUND helmet that will be used in South Africa next year has delivered it to driver Andy Green at Hakskeen Pan. The handover took place during the celebrations to mark one year until the World Land Speed Record attempt in October 2017.

Bloodhound’s vital electrical power systems protected by E-T-A circuit breakers

The vital electrical systems aboard Bloodhound SSC are protected by around forty circuit breakers and battery isolators provided by E-T-A. The circuit breakers are installed to isolate key parts of the system in the event of short circuits or overloads. Rather than using fuses whose characteristics change with age and lead to nuisance blowing, E-T-A circuit breaker performance is stable over time.
