The Bloodhound Project Visits to your school

Invite the BLOODHOUND Education team to visit your school and we will inspire your students with our hands-on activities based around our project to build the world’s first 1,000mph car – BLOODHOUND SSC.

Why BLOODHOUND?

The BLOODHOUND Engineering Adventure provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

In the UK, and many of the developed countries worldwide, there is a shortage of scientists, engineers and mathematicians and so we urgently need young people to be motivated to enjoy and study science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects at school and then at university.

The BLOODHOUND Project is a unique catalyst through which young people can be inspired AND acquire the skills and develop innovative talents that will enable them to overcome the challenges we face on a global scale.

What we offer

We offer three different packages – follow the links from each one to find out more:

  • Air-Powered Rocket Cars – up to 90 children can build and race air-powered rocket cars using K’nex.
  • Model Rocket Car Workshop – up to 100 children can build and race model rocket cars at up to 55mph.
  • VEX Robotics Workshop – up to 90 children can program a VEX IQ robot to complete a BLOODHOUND challenge in a hands-on introduction to engineering and coding.
