This is the story of BLOODHOUND SSC.

It starts with the public launch of the project on October 28th 2008 at the Science Museum in London. Richard Noble, Andy Green and the team announce to the world their latest plan to smash the World Land Speed Record, and at the same time inspire the next generation of Scientists and Engineers with an iconic project

We've divided the story into chapters, which will take you through:

• the concepts in The adventure begins
• the design in The Adventure takes shape
• the build in The Adventure builds

This story is still unfolding - we will add more chapters as we move into new phases of the project.

This story will not finish when BLOODHOUND SSC achieves a World Land Speed Record of 1000mph - the lasting legacy of inspiring our next generation will continue for years to come.
