New BLOODHOUND SSC sponsor Promethean will bring a wealth of expertise to the Bloodhound education programme through their online teacher community, PrometheanPlanet.com, and their leading edge, interactive learning technologies. A wealth of STEM resources are available from Planet to support educators teaching these subjects, helping to bring lessons to life.
The relationship with Promethean was started through our involvement with Primary Engineer whose Bloodhound curriculum resources come to life when featured on Promethean’s interactive equipment. The challenge now is to ensure more schools are aware of these superb resources and that’s where the world’s largest online teacher community, PrometheanPlanet.com will play its part. With over 650,000 members in over 150 countries, Planet will ensure that the millions of teachers and pupils already enrolled in Bloodhound’s education programme are supported by additional resources that will put their classroom technology provision to good use.
Promethean has committed to support the development of the Bloodhound education centre in Bristol and a number of satellite centres around the UK. They also provided interactive technology at the Big Bang in Manchester and there will be an opportunity to see curriculum resources and CAD drawings at the Farnborough Airshow displayed on the ActivBoard interactive whiteboard system.
And I’m sure there will be a future 1K Club event where we use the leading edge Promethean Learner Response Systems where we can check if you have been listening to Richard or Andy! In the classroom they provide unprecedented opportunities for student involvement and assessment.
The relationship with Promethean will open up many new exciting learning opportunities for the Bloodhound education programme and we are already seeing great support from the Promethean team.
