Derby College marked National Apprenticeship Week by featuring the Show Car on the turntable of the historic Roundhouse, a recently renovated locomotive shed that is the stunning centre piece of college life. Over two days, with the help of sponsor, Protocol National, local primary and secondary school children were wowed by the car, the presentations, the Intel Atom animation played on a large screen at full volume firing their imaginations and of course the balloon car challenge to win a Bloodhound baseball cap and a bag of Protocol National’s goodies.

On day two, Andy Green came along to present not only to local businesses but also to the Derby College students from the Engineering and Motor Vehicle faculties…..which really made the balloon challenge competitive and the design modifications fascinating!

The event was featured on the East Midlands News channels and has really put BLOODHOUND on the map in this region.
