Breaking news!

On the morning of 26 September, we will be making a major announcement about the BLOODHOUND Project. Stay tuned to BLOODHOUND’s social media channels for our big announcement on September 26th – we’ll be broadcasting live from 11am on our Periscope feed on Twitter.

BLOODHOUND disassembled

For the last few weeks the BLOODHOUND Project has been progressing fast as new sponsorship has enabled us to move to the next stage of the programme. Key among these developments has been splitting the Car up into its sub-assemblies, after it was 90% assembled and put on show in London last September. As Andy Green described in his July diary, this dry build was very useful for checking everything fitted together and now we can make any modifications and get the few final parts manufactured.

Each section of the Car is carefully and methodically disassembled, and then each part is catalogued and put back into stores ready for final build and the testing programme to begin in 2017.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to see how this process progresses over the next few months.

Become a Rocket Car Competition Hub sponsor

Season 2 of the micro:bit Model Rocket Car Competition has a network of Race Hubs in Further Education colleges, Secondary schools and University Technical Colleges across the country that are supporting the schools that are taking part. We’re looking for sponsors for each local Hub, to help them work with the 1,000+ Secondary schools and 2,500+ Primary schools expected to enter teams into the competition. Your support can help BLOODHOUND to inspire the next generation – and maybe one of your local teams will win!
