Latest car news

This month the team has, among other things:

  • carried out a successful trial fit check of the EJ200 jet engine
  • pressure tested the air intake duct – it passed!
  • been fitting some of the 192 surface tapping pressure sensors

1K Club thanks K’NEX builders

BLOODHOUND’s 1K Club would like to thank everyone involved in building the Guinness world record BLOODHOUND K’NEX model of the car. If you’d like to try building a smaller K’NEX model car, check out the K’NEX kits in our shop!

Technical Centre visit

If you would like to see where the BLOODHOUND car is being built, visit the BLOODHOUND Technical Centre near Bristol on 1st November 2014. This rare chance to see the actual car as it’s being built has to be pre-booked, so get your tickets now.

Become a BLOODHOUND Ambassador

Thanks to everyone who has recently signed up to become a BLOODHOUND Ambassador. But we still need more help. When you volunteer you’ll be given training and access to all of our online educational resources and then encouraged to work with children in schools and clubs, and at Science fairs, Big Bang fairs and national events.

We held our latest sponsors’ conference at the British Racing Drivers’ Club at Silverstone last month, welcoming many new sponsors to the BLOODHOUND Project. As well as giving an update on the project, we launched the new, exclusive Boardroom Certificate at the event. The next conference will be back at the BLOODHOUND Technical Centre.

We’re recruiting! The BLOODHOUND Project urgently requires a highly professional, organised and meticulous stores person to work at our Technical Centre in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is your chance to work with our experienced engineering team and will involve travel to South Africa when the team deploys there.
