Jaguar joins Project as countdown begins
The BLOODHOUND Project has started the 12-month countdown to its first land speed record attempt, and celebrated Jaguar joining the programme as Innovation Partner, by staging a high-speed communications test at the Hakskeen Pan, South Africa.
Latest car news
This month we have passed some major milestones for the car:
- In Norway, rocket sponsor Nammo has successfully fired the hybrid rocket that will be used in BLOODHOUND.
- Meanwhile in Newquay, our team has completed successful tests of the new prototype pump.
- The upper chassis has been moved onto the jig for final assembly and is being riveted and glued in readiness for the construction of the complete car early in 2015

The BLOODHOUND project has received increasing media coverage recently, with highlights including visits from BBC Future, BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, Wired magazine, The Times and the Daily Mail:
BLOODHOUND certified as 100% carbon neutral
We’re pleased to announce that BLOODHOUND environmental sponsor CNI UK has purchased carbon credits on our behalf and issued us with a formal certificate to show that the Project will be fully carbon neutral for the remainder of the build, testing and record-breaking runs – right through to the end of the project in 2016.
Young Engineers set a new World Record!
Inspired by BLOODHOUND, the Joseph Whitaker School Young Engineers have smashed the Guinness World land speed record for a model car, taking it from 287mph to a whopping 533.1mph! Read their story and then get in touch if you would like us to help you inspire the children at your school.
 1K Club goes Dutch
The first 1K Club meeting outside the UK was held in the Netherlands recently, as enthusiasm for the project spreads further afield. Organised by our Netherlands-based Ambassadors, it was a great success. Read more.
