The Bloodhound Project Wesco Aircraft

Wesco Aircraft

Wesco Aircraft is one of the world’s largest distributors and providers of comprehensive supply chain management services to the global aerospace industry. The company’s services range from traditional distribution to the management of supplier relationships, quality assurance, kitting, just-in-time delivery and point-of-use inventory management.

The company believes it offers one of the world’s broadest inventory of aerospace products, comprised of over 600,000 active stock keeping units, including hardware, chemicals, bearings, tooling, electronic products and customer designed products. Wesco Aircraft has more than 2,700 employees across 80 locations in 19 countries.

Wesco were invited to support the Bloodhound Project through our strong professional and personal relationships with Hampson Aerospace and Mark Abbey, Group Global Marketing and Business Development Director.

Hampson Aerospace is a valued customer of Wesco Aircraft Europe, and we have numerous years’ experience working in partnership, supporting many of the aerospace industries projects.

Wesco identifies with the ‘learning perspective’ and the engagement of local education to inspire the next generation of engineers. This dovetails well with Wesco’s own culture of local community engagement and participation in schools initiatives.

It was with great pleasure that we hosted a visit from Richard Noble to our stand at the Farnborough International Air Show, July 2012.

Supporting the Bloodhound project naturally falls in line with our existing efforts to engage students and promote schools challenges.  Broadening the scope of our involvement within education does not only add value to the students and the project, it’s rewarding for all those involved in such an inspiring initiative.

Wesco Aircraft believes in ENGAGEMENT!

Wesco are excited to be involved in a valuable education project such as this and have been able to provide fasteners, hardware and technical assistance.
