The Bloodhound Project Nitron Racing Systems

Nitron Racing Systems

Nitron's worldwide success spans over a decade of prestigious race wins and lap records on both two and four wheels.

With direct motorsport involvement and a committed development program, every Nitron customer experiences cutting edge performance and design, proven on the world's most demanding circuits.

“Nitron aim to provide the highest quality suspension systems through a combination of innovation and uncompromising quality. Nitron will always represent value for money and outstanding customer service."

Nitron Racing Systems was formed in 1998 by founder and CEO Mr Guy Evans with the aim of supplying the best possible shocks made to the highest specifications. Nitron has gone from strength to strength producing winning shocks for customers all over the world. Over 200 dealers across the globe are supported by Nitron production and service facilities in Europe, Asia, US, Australasia and Africa.

Nitron currently offer a large range of high performance shocks either in kit form or specially built to customer requirements. Custom designs are something Nitron is able to offer extremely competitively, due to the modular nature of all the Nitron products.

In 2008 Nitron moved to a new facility in the UK’s ‘Motorsport Valley’ in line with the companies expansion program, increasing production and offering un-paralleled shock design and research centre.

Nitron continue to invest in international facilities to further support customers around the world, whilst developing new products and embracing new technologies.

Nitron’s state-of-the-art facility offers our designers and engineers the best possible environment to develop and test the next generation suspension technologies.

Utilising the best Dynamometers, 5-Axis CNC machines and the latest 3D CAD techniques. Nitron embraces both accuracy and craftsmanship. Combining precision technology with the skill and attention to detail possessed by our highly trained suspension technicians, Nitron develop new technologies and work on expanding our range.

Nitron continues to strive to design the highest quality and value, always focussing on delivering serious performance and not compromising on design and build quality, both internally and externally.

Designed in Oxfordshire using the latest 3D CAD techniques, Nitron race shocks are billet machined and hand built entirely in the UK. Each fully serviceable race shock is made bespoke to order with customised spring and damping configurations.

Motorcycle, MX, Quad and ATV shocks are individually built to match the rider's weight and riding style. Every aspect of the rider and machine are considered; the result is truly unique suspension, built to exacting standards and normally the reserve of professional budgets.

Testing and development with leading racers and riders around the world forms the key foundation on which Nitron has carved its design philosophy. Evidence of this philosophy is apparent in every Race, Track and Sport shock across the 2012 product range. Whether you're challenging for the podium or demanding the very best road handling, the Nitron quality and performance can be experienced.

Our engineers continually push the limits of suspension technology through the use of state-of-the-art facilities and the latest techniques. Nitron embraces both accuracy and craftsmanship; reliability is the standard.

Every Nitron shock is hand made by our skilled shock technicians and encounters extensive quality control measures.

Each kit receives personal attention before being pre-set and carefully packaged in a controlled, clinical environment.

Nitron often offer unique factory tours to automotive and motorcycle groups and enthusiasts. Please contact the UK marketing team to discuss your opportunity to experience the Nitron design and production process for yourself.

How we got involved

MD Guy Evans has a long standing history within Motorsport and vehicle dynamics. Nitron became associated with Bloodhound following involvement in the Thrust SSC project and through invitation of James Painter, Engineering Lead. As an engineering group, we have had an interest and following for the land speed record.

What we are producing

Nitron are producing the vehicle's shock absorbers, critical to the stability of the chassis. A total of 4 dampers will be used on the vehicle. The design work that has been carried out by the Bloodhound team will be supported by engineers from Nitron, with the final products being hand assembled at our UK facility.
